Frank Sommer, M.D. PhD

University professor for Men’s health, Urology, Andrology and Sports Medicine.
Professor Sommer is worldwide the first physician be nominated for a professorship in Men’s health. He is employed at the Universitätsklinik Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany.
Professor Frank Sommer was born in Aachen in 1967 and studied medicine at the University of Cologne, Germany. After completing his medical studies he worked as a physician in London, England. Later, while working at the Cologne University Medical Center in Urology, he focused his scientific research in the field of male sexual disturbances. As an urologist and a physician for Sports Medicine he was able to present his scientific work pertaining to male fertility, erectile dysfunction and prostate illnesses as well as problems concerning the aging male at numerous prestigious international meetings.
At the European Urological Conference in Paris (1996) he was awarded first prize for his scientific work. As a sports physician and urologist one of his focus` lays in the correlation between potency and sports. He has held many noted lectures on this topic at numerous international events.
Furthermore he frequently presents his research on many popular German television programs such as Spiegel TV (RTL), Fit for Fun (Fox), the science series Galileo (pro7) and Abenteuer Wissen (ZDF).
